  • Copenhagen is a vibrant, walkable city with an extraordinary number of bike lanes and cyclists.

We enjoyed Danish pastries and soaked up the sunny atmosphere alongside locals embracing “Hygge” — the Danish cultural concept of coziness, togetherness, and savoring simple pleasures.

A highlight was visiting Freetown Christiania, a fascinating 84-acre self-governing hippie commune established in 1971, known for its colorful homes, alternative lifestyle, and car-free streets.

Despite high taxes, Danes enjoy free healthcare and education, reflecting a society that clearly prioritizes community well-being — a theme felt throughout the entire city.

Off to Sweden and Norway today

Stay tuned for more to come
